Training is led by Sharmi, owner of Silk Wax Bar, a busy Ottawa studio specializing in Brazilian waxing and high-volume waxing services.
About the Training
The Silk Wax Bar training programs are designed to teach real-world waxing techniques used in a fully booked studio environment.
Rather than focusing heavily on lecture-style learning, these courses prioritize hands-on practice, technique refinement, and troubleshooting scenarios so students leave confident performing services on clients.
Each course includes live models, guided instruction, and close supervision to ensure proper waxing technique and professional workflow.

TRAINING PROGRAMS
Full Body Wax Intro
1 Day Beginner Course
A foundational waxing course designed for those who want to build proper technique from the start and gain real hands-on experience working with live models.
Students will learn professional waxing methods used in a studio environment, including proper sanitation, skin preparation, wax control, and confident application and removal technique.
This course introduces Brazilian waxing while focusing on developing strong foundational waxing skills across multiple areas of the body.
Hands-On Training
Students work with 2 live models
• Model 1: Demonstration performed by instructor while students observe technique and positioning
• Model 2: Service performed by student under instructor supervision

Brazilian Wax Pro
1 Day Advanced Course
An advanced training designed for estheticians or waxing professionals who want to refine their Brazilian waxing technique and perform the service with greater precision and efficiency.
This course focuses on the techniques used in a busy waxing studio using strategic wax placement and methods to improve client comfort and build a booked and busy schedule.
Students will learn how to perform Brazilian waxing with greater confidence while improving speed, control, and consistency.
Hands-On Training
Students work with 3 live models
• Model 1: Demonstration performed by instructor
• Models 2–3: Services performed by student under supervision
Investment: $1,600
Prerequisite: Basic waxing experience required
Full Body Wax Pro
2 Day Advanced Course
A comprehensive training designed for students who want to confidently perform professional full body waxing services.
This course focuses on developing techniques, efficiency, and developing the skills needed to perform multiple waxing services in a professional studio environment.
Students gain extensive hands-on experience while learning the methods used in a high-volume waxing studio.
Hands-On Training
Students work with 4 live models
• Model 1: Demonstration performed by instructor
• Models 2–4: Services performed by student under supervision
Investment: $2,600

Training sessions are limited to two students and often book quickly.

A $250 course reservation fee is required to secure your seat and will be applied toward the total course fee.
